Just a few things I'm thankful for today...
- I’m grateful for my husband who allows me to buy $600 treadmills without a second thought.
- I’m blessed with a husband who stays up until 1am putting together said treadmill.
- I’m glad the treadmill designers thought I would like to plug my iPod in and listen to my music through the speakers.
- I’m thankful we haven’t had snow in a while. I can deal with the rain and lack of sunshine, but I’m so over the snow.
- I’m thankful for Cass and the rest of my family, who provided excellent company and entertainment for 9 hours on Sunday at the hospital.
- I’m grateful to God for delivering Samuel and Ashley’s twins to us in mostly good health, and for the healing he’s providing Kylie.
- I’m thankful for the internet…a huge time-waster for me, but a source of so much inspiration (listen to this podcast with Ali Edwards, and her ideas on the topic of Story, so inspirational to me yesterday morning).
- I’m extremely thankful for Amazon.com. In less than five minutes, I bought two items for an upcoming birthday gift and a book I’ve been eyeing, got free shipping, and it was delivered to my doorstep in three days. How does it get any better?
- I’m grateful for a husband who will put his shoes back on and go pump my gas in the rain after he’s been home and showered for hours (I’m grateful for him a lot this week!).
- Last, without getting up on my soapbox, I just want to say that I am grateful to the voters in Massachusetts. Never have I been more excited about a Massachusetts senate election.
I’m planning to try to start posting these every week again. I have a little idea of something I’d like to do with my weekly Friday Gratitudes. Just trying to solidfy my thinking on it and follow it up with a little concrete action before I post it.
Because posts are always better with pictures, and to show Cass that I wasn't always a cross-eyed Asian-looking baby, here's a lovely shot of me from Florida in 1988.
