Hunting for the fam with Starbucks in hand (and the first of many pictures taken in the elevator that night). =)

When I got there, I was surprised to find out that nothing had progressed since Cass's 7am text. Ashley was resting comfortably, but nothing was changing.

Cass, Blaise, Melvin, Loretta, and I passed time in the waiting room with the other families waiting on babies.

Cass and I passed the time taking pictures of course. Can you see the sleep-deprivation starting to kick in??

How serendipitous...Cass gave Melvin this book and wrote a little note in it years ago (and it took us all evening to think of the word “serendipitous”).

This time I got Cass, Blaise, and Samuel to join in the elevator fun.

After we waited in the waiting room about another three hours, they decided to take the twins by c-section. Around 5:45 Samuel came it and said “it’s two girls!”. Everyone already knew what they were having so it was funny, but we were all excited.

Around 10:30 we finally got to hold Chloe and see Kylie. They are both a nice size for being twins, but they’re still so tiny.

Some of you that don't know Cass very well may not know about her severe phobia of babies. The first time we saw Chloe she whispered to me "oh good...she's wrapped in a blanket". She's totally terrified of their little wobbly heads and flailing limbs. I think she's afraid one of their tiny body parts will just go flying off. Check out this very calculated handoff...

Auntie Nicole (so I'm actually only a second cousin or something, shhh...don't tell). (Thanks Blaise for the mad photog skills!)

Although Kylie was the larger of the girls at 5 lb. 11 oz., her lungs weren't quite fully developed, so she was on a ventilator and feeding tube. But, according to Cass's blog tonight, she's been taken off of both and may be able to go home tomorrow!

I can’t wait until the next time I can see them. I’m sure they’ll be growing like crazy!
