Design Your Life: Week 1

The first week in my new online scrapbooking class, Design Your Life, was focused on symmetry. Cathy provided Photoshop templates for us digi scrappers, and I took full advantage of them. I've decided to take advantage of this class and the templates to work on my 2009 photo book. I'm going to try to do extra layouts with each template to get the year scrapped by the end of the class.

Balloon Glow

May 2, 2009 - Norm and I went with Cass and Blaise to the Balloon Glow at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was so cool to see all the balloons being inflated and walking around between them. They were huge! But our favorite was when they called “3...2...1...ALL GLOW!” and all the balloons fired at once. Neat!

Norm recognized the Pink Floyd balloon from when his grandpa George used to fly Big Red. He went over and talked to the pilot and he remembered him too.

Downtown Indy

May 9, 2009 - Cass and I made a trip downtown to see what neat things we could find to take pictures of. It was a bright, sunny day and we found lots of neat architecture!


Last Day of Harvest

December 5, 2009 - Oscar & I rode back on the four-wheeler to get pictures of the last field harvested this fall. Rodney had to leave to pick Tiff and Matt up at the airport, so it was the first time he hasn’t finished the harvest himself. Norm finished it up & as the last ears entered the combine, he thought about how much work they did this year for that corn. Another successful harvest complete!

Project 365: The Book!

Today I am finally done with my 365 project! Yes, I finished taking my daily pictures on December 31st, but for the past 12 days I've been working frantically on the digital scrapbook to hold all 365 pictures. There's a photobook sale at Shutterfly that ends tomorrow, so when I finally placed my order at lunch today I was cutting it close, but look at the deal I got!!
