Design Your Life: Week 2

Today begins week 3 in my online scrapbooking class, Design Your Life. Here are the digi layouts I made for week 2, Asymmetry.

Journaling Reads:
Not too long after it opened, Cass and I headed to the new Indianapolis International Airport and we had a blast! Inside the building and around the outside, there is artwork everywhere. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see a lot of it because the crazy security guy wouldn't let us through with no tickets! After we saw all we could see inside the airport (literally), we headed to the top of the parking garage to get some shots of the outside of the airport and a few planes taking off. It was a little windy, but it was so cool!

Snowy January

These are just a few pictures I snapped last January. I didn't have much to say about them, but I wanted to remember how much snow we got, and how much fun Oscar had in the snow. I have to say, sometimes I design pages then there's something about them I just don't like. I'm feeling that way about the title and brown block behind it on this layout. This page will most likely be revised before I decide to print it.

Alike, Different

This layout was the Real World Color layout for week 2. Every week Cathy finds a image in a magazine, a billboard, etc. that has interesting color combinations and asks us to use those on a layout. This week it was brown, orange, and pink. The template for this page was 8" x 8", but I changed it to 12" x 12" to match the size of my other pages, and I love how it turned out! (The "N&N" is not that fat and fuzzy looking in real life. I'm not sure why it keeps making my outline letters look like that when I resize for the blog. Hmmm...)

Journaling Reads:
Alike: We both love living in the country. We both like saving money. We both love boating. We are both homebodies but love to see new places.
Different: Norm is pretty outgoing and I'm more shy. I'm more patient than him, but just barely. Norm is more forgiving. I love to travel and he could take it or leave it.

Oooooh...these are really fun layouts! This is such a great hobby for being able to keep all of your pictures without just having a gazillion prints! This will be great when you two have kids!
