Yesterday & Today Week 11

I am up way past my bedtime while my husband snores away so I can get this week's Yesterday & Today layout posted and try not to get behind with Christmas coming up. Because I have a new scrapbooking class starting on the 31st and I'm so excited to start it, I don't want to have to finish this class first.

This week's assignment was to take a self-portrait every day this week. Wow. This was tough for me, and somehow out of seven pictures I still managed to screw it up. I really like the picture from Saturday, but you can only see a tiny portion of it because I forgot all the pictures needed to be vertical. And Monday and Tuesday's pictures were both taken on my laptop, so the quality is horrible, but this class is all about embracing imperfection, so that's what I'm doing. I'm getting the pictures down on the page and moving on. This double layout literally came together in about thirty minutes once I had all the pictures edited.

I'm actually going to have these pages printed without the journaling text, and I'm going to handwrite it in when the printed layouts arrive. Trying to get more of my actual handwriting in my scrapbooks (although I hate it!). I will probably stamp a date on it somewhere too.

Journaling reads:
Enjoying good friends and family atCheeseburger Night. Hitting the snooze button. Thinking of Christmas gift ideas. Addressing Christmas cards. Shopping for scrapbooking supplies, books, & Christmas gifts. Taking self portraits. Driving slowly in rain, wind, snow, and sleet. Buying gifts for strangers in need. Wearing a scarf. Playing Christmas music on my work
computer. Munching on cookies. Admiring the Christmas tree. Wrapping presents. Checking blogs. Editing pictures. Dating my husband. Reading Sookie Stackhouse series. Bundling up. Opening packages.

Edited to Add: My up-too-late brain couldn't see the obvious solution to my horizontal picture-vertical layout dilemma last night. This morning in the shower, this popped into my brain: rotate the layout you dummy. Tada!

Humm, embracing imperfection. Good thought! Something I need to put on my 2010 TO DO LIST. Wish me luck. And by the way, your scrap booking is WICKED GOOD!
