The band was from Pennsylvania, and in PA it's tradition for the guy that catches the garter to place it on the leg of the girl that catches the bouquet. It was hilarious!

Every wedding has its drama and Tiff and Matt’s was no exception. We found out during the rehearsal that the lead singer in their reception band (Jeremy, a relative of the Normans’, I took he and Mary’s wedding pictures - here he is rocking it out at their reception) was taken to the hospital with severe stomach pains. He had his appendix removed around midnight the night before the wedding. Rodney and Cheryl spent several hours that night calling anyone they could think of, and eventually lined up another guitar player/singer. However, Jeremy was released from the hospital around noon on Saturday, his band called the new singer and told him he wouldn’t be needed, and the show went on. They’re a great band and we’d heard a little of their stuff at Jeremy and Mary’s wedding, but it was so cool to see them do their thing knowing what had happened just the night before. Awesome.

Towards the end of the reception, my dad told Matt’s brother “I’m really into this picture-taking. I learned everything I know from him (Norm). I think he learned from her (me). I’m pretty sure they met at a homeless shelter”. ??? He really went to town with the picture-taking (as in, around 490 pictures taken, at all angles, from all levels, some from his groin area). Here is a little collage of some of his more...creative shots.

And with that, it was time for bed. What a great day!
